General Practitioners
Dr Christopher Briggs grew up in Melbourne and completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2006. After initially visiting the Gold Coast for a working holiday, he decided to stay — and has now been practising locally as a General Practitioner for well over a decade.
Chris provides comprehensive medical care with a particular focus on women’s and children’s health. He has worked in the paediatric outpatient clinic at Gold Coast University Hospital and continues to contribute to medical education through his role with GP Training Queensland. He has also presented on paediatric and women’s health topics in a range of educational settings and currently serves as a GP in the new ‘GPs in Schools’ pilot program.
At Her Medical, Chris provides early pregnancy care and performs in-clinic pregnancy ultrasounds as part of his medical assessments. He also provides contraception and family planning consultations, ensuring a complete and patient-centred approach to care.
Please note that due to current patient demand and the complexity of paediatric consultations, Dr Briggs is not accepting new paediatric patients at this time.
