Senior Experienced Medical Receptionist

Commencing October 2024

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and organised Senior Medical Receptionist. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support, and will oversee the smooth operation of the reception area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Processing patient registrations and updating records
• Handling billing and payments
• Liaising with medical staff and other healthcare providers
• Ensuring the reception area is tidy and welcoming
• Overseeing daily reception operations and mentoring junior staff
• Managing administrative tasks and supporting the practice manager

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a senior medical receptionist or in a similar senior administrative role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• A compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients
• Proven leadership skills and experience in mentoring or supervising staff
