At Her Medical, caring for our community extends beyond the consultation room. We are passionate about supporting initiatives that raise awareness, fund vital research, and improve health outcomes for Australians.

This August, we’re proud to support two important fundraising events that make a real difference to the lives of individuals and families across the country. Jeans for Genes Day will be held on Thursday 6 August, followed by Daffodil Day on Thursday 20 August.

Jeans for Genes Day

Jeans for Genes Day raises awareness and funds for children living with genetic diseases.

Around 1 in 20 children are born with a genetic condition or birth defect, and genetic diseases remain one of the leading causes of death in children under four years of age. Donations made on Jeans for Genes Day help fund world-leading Australian research into better diagnoses, treatments, and, ultimately, cures for genetic conditions.

Our team will be wearing their jeans with pride, and patients visiting the clinic will have the opportunity to support the cause through our in-clinic donation QR codes.

Daffodil Day

Just two weeks later, we will once again stand with our community for Daffodil Day, supporting the incredible work of the Cancer Council.

Cancer affects almost every Australian family in some way, with approximately 1 in 2 Australians expected to receive a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85. Funds raised on Daffodil Day help support life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, patient support services, and advocacy to improve cancer care across Australia.

Why It Matters to Her Medical

As a women’s health practice, we believe that healthcare is about more than treating illness. It’s about supporting healthier communities.

Community fundraising events like Jeans for Genes Day and Daffodil Day remind us that research, education, early detection, and accessible healthcare all play a vital role in improving lives. By participating in these initiatives, we hope to not only raise funds but also encourage conversations about health, prevention, and the importance of supporting those affected by illness.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of a community that comes together to make a positive impact. We’re also grateful to our patients and staff who continue to support these meaningful causes.
