Throughout September, people are encouraged to wear bright lipstick, start conversations, and get involved in fundraising activities to help shine a light on the mental health challenges faced by women.

At Her Medical, we believe mental health is an important part of overall health and wellbeing. We’re proud to support Liptember because it encourages women to start conversations, seek support and reminds us that no one should feel they have to face challenges alone.

Why women’s mental health matters

Women can experience unique mental health challenges throughout different stages of life. Hormonal changes, pregnancy and the postnatal period, perimenopause and menopause, relationships, work, family responsibilities, and everyday pressures can all affect emotional wellbeing.

Sometimes, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted or unlike yourself can be easy to dismiss as simply being stressed or busy. But your mental health deserves the same attention and care as your physical health.

Starting the conversation

One of the most important messages of Liptember is that talking about mental health should be normal.

Checking in with a friend, asking someone how they’re really doing, or making an appointment with your GP can be an important first step.

At Her Medical, we provide a supportive and confidential environment where women can talk openly about their mental health and wellbeing. You don’t need to wait until things feel overwhelming before asking for help.

Supporting Liptember

This September, we encourage you to get involved by starting a conversation, checking in on the women in your life and helping to break down the stigma surrounding mental health.

At Her Medical, we believe every woman deserves to feel heard, supported and cared for.

This Liptember, let’s put women’s mental health in the spotlight and keep the conversation going all year round.

If you’re struggling or finding things difficult, please reach out. Call Her Medical or book an appointment with your GP today. Your mental health matters.
