Our Consultation Fees for 2026

New Year. Woman Tying Shoelaces Near Numbers 2026 On Road At Stadium, CloseupFrom January 2026, Her Medical will be updating our consultation fees. We believe it is important to be transparent about what this means, why we are making this change, and what patients can continue to expect from our care.

Updated consultation fees

From January 2026, our fees will be:

• Standard consultation: $125
• Long consultation: $225
• Mental health consultation: $225

Medicare rebates will continue to apply where eligible, and the out of pocket cost will depend on the item number billed by your doctor.

Why our fees are changing

General practice has changed. The complexity of care has increased, patient needs are broader, and the time required to practise good medicine has grown significantly. At the same time, Medicare rebates have not kept pace with the real cost of delivering high quality, evidence based care.

These changes allow us to:

• Provide longer, more meaningful consultations
• Support complex and chronic health needs properly, not hurriedly
• Maintain a highly skilled clinical and nursing team
• Invest in systems, training and environments that support safe care
• Practise medicine the way it should be practised, with time, thought and continuity

This is not about volume. It is about value, quality and sustainability.

What this means for our patients

You can expect the same standard of care Her Medical is known for, with a continued focus on women’s health, preventative care and whole person medicine. Our doctors take the time to listen, assess thoroughly and work with you to create a plan that actually makes sense for your life.

Mental health consultations remain deliberately longer, because complex conversations deserve space. Rushing these appointments serves no one.

A commitment to transparency and care

We understand that fee changes can raise questions, and our team is always happy to talk through costs, rebates and appointment types before your visit. We believe patients deserve clarity, not surprises.

Her Medical remains committed to delivering thoughtful, modern general practice that prioritises quality over speed and relationships over transactions.
