Cervical Screening Quality Improvement Project

SeptHer Medical is taking part in a Cervical Screening Quality Improvement Project supported by Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN).

Cervical screening is a vital test that helps prevent cervical cancer. We know that some women fall behind with their screening, so we’re working to ensure our patients are up to date.

What We’re Doing

We’ve identified a group of patients who:

  • Are aged 25–75 years

  • Have attended our practice at least twice in the past two years

  • Do not have a cervical screening test recorded in the last five years

Certain patients are excluded, such as those who have had a hysterectomy, opted out of cervical screening, or have a recent pathology result.

How We’ll Contact You

Patients who are due will receive a secure text message inviting them to book a cervical screening appointment. These messages are sent through Healthily GoShare, an Australian platform that meets RACGP privacy and confidentiality requirements.

We are sending invitations in small batches so that patients are not overwhelmed, and our team can provide the right level of support.

Your Choice

If you are contacted, you’ll be able to:

  • Book a cervical screening appointment with your doctor or nurse

  • Ask about the self-collection option, which some women prefer 4 Cyte Pathology will be assisting with the demand for self collect see link to 4 Cyte Pathology collections centre locations 4Cyte Pathology – Home

  • Decline further contact if you do not wish to take part

Our team is here to support you. If you have any questions, please call the practice or speak with your GP or nurse.
