Gemma Bruce
Exercise Physiologist
Gemma graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology.
Throughout her studies she gained a thorough understanding of biomechanics, motor control, functional anatomy and namely how the body responds to physical activity.
Gemma has a high level of understanding and empathy for chronic pain due to sustaining hip and pelvis fractures during a motor vehicle accident in 2014. Using yoga and Pilates to rehabilitate herself, Gemma has first hand experience of the impact these forms of movement can have and believes building a strong core is key to moving freely.
Gemma has an interest in clinical exercise interventions for people with a broad range of health issues including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, cancer, metabolic, mental health and neurological conditions, as well as assisting in pre and post-surgical rehabilitation. Gemma will guide you through a tailored lifestyle intervention designed to address your needs and goals, and help you to reach optimal physical function.
